Kevin Boatright

Kevin Boatright grew up in Milwaukee, a city once known for its industrial strength but now marked by the decline of factory jobs. His artwork reflects the gritty, raw energy of the streets of Milwaukee. His signature technique includes the use of acrylic caulk to add texture to his paintings. Kevin is the arts coordinator at Ayzha Fine Arts Gallery & Boutique, having studied at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. His focus is on spontaneous application and the emotional depth of his work, capturing "spirit and interior emotional realities" through his art. He is particularly interested in portraying emotional darkness.

His artwork has been exhibited since 2004, and his piece "Babies" was featured at the Milwaukee Art Museum in 2013 as part of the "30 Americans/Wisconsin 30" exhibit. His works are part of several private collections in Milwaukee. Kevin is also involved in body art.
