Champion of Truth • Voice for Justice • Son of Milwaukee
Ayzha Fine Arts Gallery proudly honors the life and legacy of Greg Stanford, a revered journalist, community advocate, and fearless voice for equity and truth. For decades, Greg Stanford served as a columnist and editorial writer for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, where his pen became a powerful force for social justice, racial equity, and thoughtful civic dialogue.
Through sharp insight and unwavering courage, Stanford chronicled the struggles and triumphs of Milwaukee’s Black community. He challenged power with intellect, told stories with empathy, and urged us all to confront uncomfortable truths with compassion and conviction.
Greg was more than a journalist—he was a cultural guardian, a mentor to young writers, and a beacon of integrity. His words sparked conversations that reshaped perspectives and paved the way for progress. Even in his passing, his legacy continues to guide us.
We are grateful for the footprints he left on our city and in our hearts.
Rest in Power, Greg Stanford.
Your voice still echoes in the soul of Milwaukee.
